Welcome to UNI.

UNI is a lively, contemporary izakaya located in The Eliot Hotel on Commonwealth Avenue, helmed by Chef-Partners Ken Oringer and Tony Messina.The menu highlights global street food-inspired small plates, as well as innovative makimono, nigiri, and sashimi, alongside craft cocktails and a wide-ranging sake program. During Late Night service on Friday and Saturday nights, UNI presents a menu featuring the restaurant’s cult-followed ramen.

In May 2019, Chef Messina was named Best Chef: Northeast by the James Beard Foundation, having been a semi-finalist in 2018 in the same category. Chef Oringer was named a semi-finalist in the Oustanding Restaurateur category in both 2018 and 2019. 

In November 2018, Boston Magazine named UNI number one on their list of Boston's Top 50 Restaurants.
